Today in the morning program, we heard Prabhupada's lecture on Bhagvad Gita 9.18-19. In the discussion that followed, a point was made that how, unlike other scholars, Prabhupada always mentions Bhakti as the highest even in sections that are mainly speaking of Karma Yoga etc.
The reason for this is that Prabhupada always wanted to put things into perspective and in their proper place, and not just make a scholarly commentary on the scriptures without connecting them to the ultimate goal -- Krishna Prem.
Another reason is that not all will read the Bhagvad Gita completely. So, the idea is that even if someone is interested in reading only (say) Karma Yoga, he will be made aware that actually Bhakti Yoga is the highest.

I agree. Srila Prabhupada wanted that if someone reads even one page of his books, he should be transformed. That is why Srila Prabhupada gives the essence of all scriptures on all his pages.
